Site Maintenance Scheduler

The role of the Site Maintenance Scheduler is to produce and refine maintenance schedules that maximise the opportunity for plant on-line time and availability. Create and manage the maintenance schedules required to facilitate the safe efficient and effective implementation of all site maintenance activities. Ensure planned maintenance routines are completed on-time, safely and within budget constraints. Uphold the business maintenance policies and procedures and ensure activities are scheduled in accordance with them. Form a key part of the maintenance team and maximize the efficiency of the services delivered by a multi-disciplined team of approximately 60 personnel.

In this role you will be accountable for...

  • To create and manage maintenance schedules for multi-disciplined maintenance tasks defined by Maintenance Planners in accordance with company business maintenance policies and procedures.
  • To provide input into the schedules for plant outages, shutdowns and turnarounds that occur
  • To take into account any maintenance resource (Supervisors, Planners or Maintenance Technicians) allocated to a major plant shutdown when scheduling maintenance tasks for other areas which remain operational during the period.
  • To update and progress the multi-disciplined maintenance schedule with completed or deferred work and injected tasks which break the plan.
  • To provide schedules for Revex / Project activities detailing construction logic, methodologies and critical paths
  • To work with maintenance and trade supervisors to compile the schedule and activities in an order that allows tasks to be executed in an efficient and effective manner   
  • To generate maintenance KPI reports from the business Computerised Maintenance Management System (Oracle eAM) in accordance with business maintenance policy and other sources.
  • To generate performance metrics for the maintenance schedule detailing the levels of effectiveness and efficiency that exist
  • To develop and implement improvement actions based on information provided by the performance metrics  
  • To assist with the effective control and forecasting of resource requirements by developing accurate resource histograms from a levelled schedule
  • To ensure the schedule is current and updated including acting as chair for daily schedule progress meeting
  • To suggest and where practicable implement improvements to maintenance task preparation and execution.
  • To coordinate procurement for scheduled maintenance and administer purchase requisitions and purchase orders within the company’s purchasing system.
  • This is to include:
    • Spares
    • All equipment and service provision required to conduct scheduled tasks
    • Resource stock levels required to meet maintenance schedule
    • Control all goods receipts
    • Contact point for all invoice processing
    • Review and update maintenance task budget forecasting from goods receipt and service receipt.
  • The Maintenance Planner is responsible for obtaining quotations for equipment and services associated with maintenance tasks.
  • To maintain Oracle eAM for assets in responsible area including:
    • Functional location structure
    • Bill of Materials
    • Maintenance master plan creation
  • To suggest and where practicable implement improvements to maintenance task preparation and execution.

The skills, qualifications and experience you will have...

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant maintenance scheduling, CMMS and procurement systems through this or other similar roles
  • Strong / advance skill set and knowledge allowing highly proficient use of scheduling software such as P6 / Microsoft Project
  • Highly proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication/reporting skills
